Yes, Only Up has an end. When players reach the end of the game, the following scenes will occur:
Players first go through a door far above the clouds and encounter a black hole. After entering the black hole, they stand on a circular platform which takes them to the edge of the earth's atmosphere.
Then they reach a metallic platform. After running up a ramp and crossing a bridge, they will see floating text reading “congratulations” and text stating their total play time.
At the end of the bridge is a floating astronaut and a plane-like spacecraft. A cutscene plays and the astronaut speaks to Jackie, the character players control. The astronaut congratulates Jackie and gives him a spaceship, saying that Jackie is now independent and strong, and can do what he wants and thrive wherever he wants.
Jackie is then seen wearing an astronaut suit and sitting inside the spaceship. The astronaut continues to encourage him, and then Jackie flies away in the spaceship as the camera pans up to the satellite above. The text “only up!” and “the end” appear as the screen fades to black.
